So we've been playing a bit of Blokus recently.
This is one of those games I wish I had come up with. So so simple - your next piece must touch (and only touch) the corner of one of your existing pieces. Most pieces played, wins! The rest is hidden in the design - the pieces you are given, the size of the board. Everyone gets it, and it seems easy until you get to the take-that element - playing to deliberately thwart your opponents.
Its addictive, because you realize your earlier errors as you play and quick enough that people instinctively say "one more game".
